This Is Who We Are

Making Disciples

Who Love Like Jesus

To see God bring more of heaven to earth, transforming our region through spiritual families who love like Jesus.

Making Disciples Who Love Like Jesus

Jesus taught his disciples to pray like this, “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

At Grace, we continue in the hope that Jesus is bringing His Kingdom into this world through the spiritual family He is creating, which He called the Church. We believe that God’s intention for this world is to make it more like heaven, one person at a time.

This is why everything we do at Grace church is aimed at putting Jesus on the throne of our lives and inviting others into the joy of becoming part of God’s family.

And Rhythms

Loving like Jesus looks like living out the rhythms of Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit.

We Go Deeper

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
— John 13:34-35

A life lived to the fullest, is a life of depth. In the Grace Church community, we  live in spiritual families who give and receive the love of God.

This is why we live out the rhythm of:

We are a community who is hungry to dive deeper into relationship with God and each other, prioritizing authentic relationships that replicate disciples.

Life together is lived-out in every area of Grace Church but it comes to sharpest focus in Grace Groups, where leaders of all ages carry the torch of relational ministry and encourage others to live life in the rhythms of Jesus.

Life Together

We Value Spiritual Health

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit;
— John 15:5

We believe that a life lived in harmony with Jesus is the foundation of all joy, health and Godly productivity.

This is why we live out the rhythm of:

We orient our lives around practices that stir our affections for Christ, knowing that a flourishing-life comes from a relationship with Him.

People who are growing in spiritual maturity take seriously the call to abide in Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit. Prayer, worship, confession, repentance, forgiveness, Sabbath and meditating on Scripture are a few of the many spiritual practices we use as vehicles to pursue a life giving relationship with Jesus Christ.

Spiritual Practices

We Celebrate the Truth with Love

If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
— John 8:31-32

We believe that scripture is the Word of God, and it is the guiding light to our lives.

This is why we live out the rhythm of:

We humbly pursue God by anchoring ourselves in the life-giving truth and wisdom of His Word.

We believe that the Truth found in God’s Word is to be celebrated and followed with our whole lives. We delight in following God’s Word and unashamedly celebrate God’s goodness in a way that honors the love, humility and passion displayed by Jesus.

Love of Scripture

We Are Blessed to be a Blessing

In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’
— Acts 20:35

These words by the apostle Paul encapsulate the call of Christians to live generous lives.

This is why we live out the rhythm of:

Living Generously

Because we have been entrusted with much, we practice sacrificial generosity in order to bless the world around us.

Followers of Jesus should not have a scarcity mindset. We believe God has gifted us with everything we need to live with joy and to overflow with goodness onto the world around us.

We Go After The 1

Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
— Luke 15:4-7

When we were lost, Jesus came after us in love. Now he has asked His family, the Church, to go after the lost with the same passion.

This is why we live out the rhythm of:

Sharing the Gospel

Our stories are a picture of God’s transforming love. We are to embody God’s desire for every person to hear the good news of His saving Grace.

Loving like Jesus looks like caring for the salvation of those who are lost, hurting and oppressed. We go on behalf of Christ, as a friend to all who need him.

Our beliefs.

As our culture changes, and technology provides new opportunities and challenges, our message remains anchored in God’s Word. The Foursquare statement of faith declares that we will always stay firmly rooted in that truth.

Our History

Grace Church was founded on the first weekend in February 1982 by Dave and Charmaine McCabe. They faithfully pastored this community for 42 years, watching Camas and Grace Church grow exponentially over the years. Today, Pastor Dave’s call to love God by becoming authentic and credible followers of Jesus, lives on in a new generation of leaders who passionately seek to bring God’s love into a complicated world.
